The RSPB

The Client

With over 1 million members and a staff of 1,300, the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds take their role in protecting the environment very seriously. This is reflected in every aspect of their business dealings. When coupled with the fact that they highly value staff, it is easy to understand why they were ranked 36th in the 2009 Sunday Times ‘100 Best Companies to Work For’ survey. So when working with them on their recent office requirements, we considered every tiny detail-from the manufacturer’s credentials to the materials and the colours used-to create a functional but harmonious working environment.

The Brief

The RSPB were looking to update various workspaces, including desks and seating for 35+ staff members, as well as the informal breakout areas and the boardroom. They wanted to create a clean, modern feel that would give staff members a comfortable, collaborative workspace in an environmentally friendly fashion. For their breakout areas, a more colourful approach was welcomed, and for the boardroom, they needed their warmth and environmental credentials to work with the functions of a traditional boardroom.

The Timescale

12 weeks from initial meeting to installation.

” It was a pleasure to work with David and the Love Your Workspace team on the project to furnish our new office. We selectedLove Your Workspace for a variety of reasons including their competitively priced, high quality products and their impressive environmental credentials. It was great to be able to see the furniture first hand in the showroom too. It made it easy to select the furniture with confidence, knowing that the products were right for our staff and our organisation. The service was fantastic throughout the project, from delivering the initial brief up to the installation of the furniture and the after care. Thanks to David and the team for making the process go so smoothly. Our staff and volunteers are absolutely delighted with the finished result”.
